The carpenter apprenticeship is a four-year program that combines on-the-job experience with related classroom instruction. As you gain experience and proficiency in the trade, you will become more of an asset to your employer and earn progressive pay increases.

The Millwright Apprenticeship is a four-year program that includes on the job training as well as related training in the classroom. As you gain experience and proficiency in the trade, you will become more of an asset to your employer and earn progressive pay increases. Millwright apprentices in the U.P. and western/northern area of the lower peninsula attend school in a "block training" format, attending for one week at a time, four times per year. Millwright apprentices must complete a total of 640 hours of related training over four years.
